Les Tours de Cantinot - Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux
Quite dense core, dark ruby-red, quite perfume floral with a touch of violet, very sweet and ripe red berry fruit. Really fine lenght. Really long and lingering finish.

Les Tours de CANTINOT 2010
Red wine, starting to develop because the colour on the rim is really ruby towards tawny; the core as well is medium-ruby.
The nose is showing evolution here, I get more spicy woody notes like cedar wood, tobacco, spice box, with sweet plum and some red berry notes. Palate has a classic structure; it’s medium weight, with quite high extraction here. We still have a tannic grip on the mid-palate with sour red cherry, some notes of cranberry, with spicy leathery notes.
It’s pretty intense on the finish, it’s a medium towards long finish, still with that tannic presence. I would say this is a wine that has a certain aromatic complexity and development; I think flavourwise it would still need to round off the edges, to let the tannins soften for another one to two years in the cellar.

Tours de Cantinot 2009 : With its rich tannins, this combines toastiness with swathes of blackcurrant fruit. It has a dusty texture, giving it a structured, severe edge for againg. Rating 90
GAULT ET MILLAU
Tours de Cantinot 2007 : This wine is an immersion into the world of macerated, black fruit with a touch of liquorice, reminisccent of the French sweets, called Zan and notes of aromatic roots. The energetic and tonic palate with splendid freshness is imbibed with juicy, black berry fruit. The young, yet fruity tannnins require decanting of this attractive wine in order to provide mmaximum enjoyment
Tours de Cantinot 2009 : The rich, aromatic and complex presentation of this wine and its spicy expression blend with the beautifully, matured fruit to form a charming and delightful bouquet, while incorporating notes of perfectly mastered oak. The introduction on the palate remains fruites ans elegant, supported by hints of spice. The tannins are mellow and lead to an impressive, persistent finish.
Tours de Cantinot 2009 : This is pumped-touch, with toasted anise ans fruitcake notes leading the way, followed by fleshy plum and blackberry fruit.Has the lively acidity to pull it on off in the end enough. Tasty

DEGUSTATION BY STEPHEN BROOK
The 2009 has plum and blackberry aromas, good freshness and attack, and a long, stylish finish. I prefer it to the 2009 special cuvée Tours de Cantinot, which spends two years in wooden vats; it's both overripe and tannic.
